Using Blue Tooth Technology
Going Wireless with Bluetooth Technology
Posted on 03/19/2017
Jenn Freer’s class at Valley Springs PEP received a classroom grant from The Buncombe County Schools Foundation.  The grant purchased wireless Bluetooth headphones for each student.   The goal of the wireless option is to improve student participation, attention, and time on task, as well as help provide structured independent academic and leisure activities. The headphones connect to any Bluetooth device, such as iPads, and the new Yoga Lenovo laptops from the 1:1 School Initative. The headphones help to provide less sensory stimulation from dangling cords, and help with noise isolation from the classroom environment, and hopefully, a longer lifespan, with no worry of broken cords!
Buncombe County Schools is in the process of reviewing its website to ensure compliance with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act and Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
