Progressive Education Program
Classroom Teacher

In my 16th year of teaching student's with disabilities, I am enjoying my first year here at PEP!  My wife, daughter, and I just moved to WNC this past June and are loving our home in the mountains.  We have one daughter, Eleanor and plan to have more. We also have a dog and two birds.  In my free time, I enjoy running and spending time outdoors.

Instructional Assistants:
Lexi King: I have been employed with PEP since 2008.  I started right out of high school as a sub and I've always known this is what I want to do. I was born a twin and my twin brother just so happened to have autism.  He attended PEP and I always enjoyed being here.

Lauren Brown:  I was a Special Education teacher in NJ for 12 years.  My family moved to NC in 2004 where I stayed home to to raise our four children.  During that time my husband and I opened Higher Ground Pediatric Therapy.  We have always had a passion for children with special needs.  In our free time my family enjoys hiking and being outdoors.

Leigh Holland:  This is my 14th year working in the PEP Program, but I started out as a peer tutor from 7th-12th grade.  In my free-time, I enjoy spending time with my husband and 3 children.
