Rhyna Simmers

Hello whomever is reading this! My name is Rhyna (rain/uh), and I teach 2nd-5th grade at Estes Elementary in the PEP program. This is my first year teaching, and so far, it has been AMAZING! YOUR kids are what bring a smile to my face each and every day, and I am so lucky to be their teacher. I graduated summa cum laude from Winthrop University in S.C. in May 2019. Afterwards, I taught English in China for 6 weeks, and then moved to Asheville, N.C. I thoroughly enjoy calling the mountains home as I love to hike, do yoga, and go camping. If you're reading this, know that your kids are my priority, and I come to work each and every day eager to see their smiling faces.

Classroom Staff

Suzie Q:  I grew up in Orlando Florida. Moving to North Carolina in 2014 was a terrific move. I have worked with children since 1986. I worked as an ESE assistant since 2004. I love working with special needs children as they make my heart grow every day. When I'm not working, I enjoy socializing with friends and camping. I have enjoyed rollerblading for over 20 years and am trying to find places in North Carolina to practice my skill safely.

Tena: My name is Tena Williams, and I live in Weaverville, N.C. I have been married for 32 years to my husband, Jim. For the past 20 years, I have been employed by BCS as an exceptional child assistant for PEP. I have one daughter and two grandsons. I like cross stitching, knitting, and racing. My favorite race car driver is #44 Jimmie Johnson.
