An Enka High senior is using her voice to help students all across the state. Isabella Geier is one of just a dozen students selected to serve on this year's North Carolina Superintendent’s Student Advisory Council (SSAC).
“We meet with North Carolina Superintendent Mo Green, typically on Zoom, to advise him on problems and solutions within North Carolina Public Schools,” said Isabella. “Superintendent Green shares our work with the North Carolina Board of Education and General Assembly.”
Isabella's leadership on the SSAC is great experience for her future. After graduating from Enka, she hopes to pursue a career in political science or international relations. She'll be honored for her service on the council at the Buncombe County Schools Board of Education meeting on Sept. 4, 2025.
