The sounds of cheers, laughter, and the crack of the bat filled the air at Bob Lewis Park as students gathered for a day of Adaptive Baseball. The field became more than just a place to play - it became a space where teamwork, encouragement, and joy took center stage.

Students from Buncombe County Schools and North Henderson High School came together for a fun-filled competition, forming teams that celebrated every hit, every run, and every moment. With the support of peers, coaches, and volunteers, each athlete had the chance to step up to the plate and experience the excitement of the game.
Adaptive baseball is designed to ensure that every student, regardless of ability, can participate in one of America’s favorite pastimes. Whether it was a perfectly timed swing or a determined run to first base, every play was met with cheers from teammates and fans alike.

Beyond the competition, the event was a powerful reminder of the importance of inclusion and community. Students encouraged one another, celebrated successes big and small, and built connections that extended far beyond the field.
By the end of the day, the scoreboard mattered less than the smiles shared and memories made. At Bob Lewis Park, Adaptive Baseball once again proved that the love of the game truly belongs to everyone.
